Turbo BH10 Bag Filter Dust Collector Pulse Jet Solenoid Valve Coil
Solenoid valves are electronically controlled valves that help regulate the flow of a variety of liquids and gases in differing environments. A widely used application, solenoid valves are employed just about everywhere - controlling the dispensing of beverages in fountain drink dispensers, regulating blood flow in dialysis machines, managing air pressure in air conditioners, and much more.
The differing media these devices handle and differences in their operating environments necessitate that solenoid valves be made of materials that suit their circumstances. Valves that operate in high temperatures need to be able to accommodate the heat. Valves handling acidic media need to be resistant to corrosion. Solenoid valve manufacturers make various valves using a variety of components to meet these many different needs.
Knowing what valve and seal materials work best with various media helps those responsible for choosing a valve for an application make the right decision.

(1) Relationship between suction and stroke
The relationship between electromagnetic attraction and stroke (ie, air gap) is called suction characteristics. The sum of the spring force and the force of gravity is called the reaction force characteristic. It is hoped that under any stroke, the suction force of the electromagnet is slightly larger than the reaction force, which ensures that the moving iron core is sucked in, and the movement speed is too fast to cause impact and rebound. This avoids contact welding and burning to improve life.
The suction force of the direct current magnet is inversely proportional to the square of the stroke. When the stroke is large, the suction force is small, that is, the power is small.
The suction characteristic curve of the AC electromagnet is relatively flat, that is, there is a large suction force when the stroke is large.
(2) Starting current and holding current
When the AC electromagnet voltage is constant, the magnitude of the excitation current is related to the resistance of the coil, but it is mainly affected by the stroke. The stroke is large, the magnetic resistance is large, and the exciting current is also large. The current at the maximum stroke is called the starting current, and the current at the time of suction is called the holding current, also called the exciting current. In large electromagnets, the starting current can reach more than 10 times the holding current. The starting current of a small electromagnet can also reach 2 to 4 times the holding current. If the moving iron core is stuck and the starting current continues to flow, the coil heats up extremely and is even burned. Electromagnetic pilot valves with small strokes are not easy to burn. AC electromagnets should not be switched on and off frequently. The life is not as long as the DC electromagnet.
When the voltage is constant, the coil current of the DC electromagnet only depends on the coil resistance, regardless of the stroke size. When the moving iron is stuck, it will not burn the coil. The DC electromagnet can be frequently turned on and off, and the work is safe and reliable. However, if the voltage is too high and the current is too high, the coil will still be burnt.
